The K2C Five-Vertex Pathway Incredible Life Academy

Appreciate. Experience. Create. Innovate. Influence.

One continuum that carries a person from their first honest look at a destination to the seat where they shape the industry. Open to anyone who travels, and built by people who still operate.

Five vertices · two cycles · one engine

Vertex 01

Appreciation

Learn to look before you learn to sell.

Tourism begins as a way of seeing. This vertex gives anyone who loves travel a working literacy in it: what a destination is actually made of, who carries it, what it costs the people who live there, and why a place is worth protecting before it is worth selling.

No prerequisites, no prior study, no industry background. It opens the field to every discipline — and for institutions it satisfies NEP 2020 vocational exposure without asking a student to change stream.

Open to everyone: any travel enthusiast, from any field, at any level of experience, at any age. Also adopted by institutions as an all-stream elective.

CTAP

Vertex 02

Experience

Walk the traveller's cycle from the traveller's own seat.

Fifteen things happen to a traveller between the first flicker of an idea and the story they tell afterwards. Here you walk that whole cycle deliberately — observing service quality where it is actually delivered, reading a destination rather than consuming it, and learning to tell its story without flattening it.

Field-based, reflective and deliberately slow. It is the vertex that turns a tourist into someone who notices.

Open to everyone: anyone who has travelled but never studied a journey — whatever your field, experience or age. Also runs as an institutional field component.

CTEX

Vertex 03

Creation

Build the thing. Sell it. Run it. Get paid for it.

The commercial spine of the pathway, and where most people join. Four credentials run in sequence: certify your operating competence, start earning through the Sterling Vacations Associate Network, build the business around a niche you own, then launch and run it live with real guests and real money.

Itinerary design, cost sheets, consultative selling, vendor contracts, compliance, live execution, and the trust loop that brings guests back.

Who it's for: career changers, independent travel consultants, working professionals in travel, and anyone intending to run their own operation.

Vertex 04

Innovation

Improve the system, not just your slice of it.

Once you can run a business, the constraints stop being personal and start being structural. This vertex turns design thinking on the operator's own cycle: where value leaks, where the trust loop breaks, where the economics quietly stop working at scale.

You are asked to redesign a piece of the system and defend it — work that sits equally well in front of an incubator panel or in a dissertation chapter.

Who it's for: operators with a running business; Master's and doctoral researchers working on tourism systems; and institutional innovation and incubation centres.

CTIS

Vertex 05

Influence

Set the terms the next generation will work under.

The continuum closes here — and reopens. Those who reach Influence publish, mentor, sit on boards, teach and shape policy. In doing so they seed Appreciation in the people coming up behind them.

It is a cycle, not a ladder. The person at the top of the pathway is the reason someone else is standing at the bottom of it.

Who it's for: senior practitioners moving into leadership, policy, governance and teaching.

K2C Leadership Fellowship

Underneath the pathway

Two cycles that meet, and a curriculum built where they touch.

The traveller moves through fifteen nodes, from the first flicker of desire to the story told afterwards. The operator moves through eleven, from first proposition to consolidation. Every point where the two cycles meet is a service encounter — and every service encounter is something that can be taught.

The Traveller Cycle

T-Cycle · fifteen nodes

Everything that happens to a guest, in order, from the moment travel first occurs to them until the story they tell long afterwards. Taught transversally, so no operator skill is ever learned in the abstract — each one is anchored to the traveller node it exists to serve.

The Operator Cycle

O-Cycle · eleven nodes

Everything a working operator must actually do, in order, from finding a proposition worth owning to consolidating a season's learning back into the next one. The eleven nodes are the curriculum's spine: each credential covers a defined arc of them.

The Intelligence Layer

Six domains of applied AI fluency, threaded through both cycles rather than bolted on as a module. You use the tools on your own live work — your itineraries, your cost sheets, your enquiries.

The Ecosystem Ring

Suppliers, host communities, regulators, platforms and associations — the conditions every operator works inside. Named explicitly so that reciprocity is designed in rather than left to good intentions.

The K2C Model is the authored, published framework this pathway is built on — deposited of record and citable at doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20679657. The framework is published so it can be cited and taught about. The curriculum built on it — module architecture, session designs, assessment instruments, facilitator guides and the node-by-node capability map — is proprietary to Incredible Life Academy and licensed only under agreement.

Eight credentials, one architecture

Each one stands alone. Together they are a career.

Who teaches this

Dr. Syed Wali Khaled
Dr. Syed Wali Khaled
Travelcraft Educator
I am building a class of operators — agile, tech-enabled, brand-managed, niche — in being one, and training others into it.

The K2C Model came out of thirty years of running tours, not out of a literature review. It was then written up, published and put on the record so that it could be argued with. Everything in this pathway is taught by someone who is still doing the work it describes.

  • PhD in Tourism & Hospitality Management, Jamia Millia Islamia
  • Around three decades in the industry — Kuoni, TUI, Carlson Wagonlit
  • Trip Leader, Grand Circle / Overseas Adventure Travel
  • Founder-Owner, Sterling Vacations — Ministry of Tourism recognised
  • Former elected Chairman, ADTOI Rajasthan Chapter
  • Board of Studies, Poddar Business School, Jaipur
  • Eight years' guest and visiting faculty; 28+ subjects taught
  • Author, published researcher, and editor of The Impact Quadrant

The Creation pathway · published rates

The whole climb ends in a company. Most people start with a certificate.

Four stages, each one funding the next. CTSO teaches you to build and cost a product; it does not on its own make you an operator. What follows is the earning, the business, and finally the enterprise itself — built for you and handed over.

Where the pathway ends · CTEL

An enterprise, built and handed to you.

Not a course. A dedicated build team registers the entity, builds the brand and the site, contracts your suppliers and stands up your operations stack. We close your first clients alongside you and deliver your first departure. Twelve months of founder mentorship follows.

The entire system to launch and run your own travel enterprise.

  • Registered, tax-compliant entity with banking and statutory identity in place
  • Brand, website, social channels and operating manual — built, not briefed
  • Supplier contracts and the full AI operations stack, configured and handed over
  • First paying clients closed with you, and your first departure delivered to standard
  • Twelve months of mentorship after launch

A few ventures per cycle · CTBM graduates first

How you get there — one funded stage at a time

CTSO Certify6 weeks · two evenings a week
CTBA EarnAssociateship inside a live business — network fee, not tuition
CTBM Build12 weeks · venture presented to a panel on Day 90
CTEL Launch90-day build + 12 months mentorship

Every rate is the same in every channel — through us, through a partner institution, or through an associate. We do not discount, and there is never a better price elsewhere.

Why the order matters

You are meant to be earning before you pay for the next stage. Associates work live enquiries on commission from the second rung, which is the point at which most people stop paying for this out of savings. Nobody is asked for the whole ladder upfront, and plenty stop at Build — deliberately.

Cohorts are capped Because Dr. Khaled teaches them himself, not because a page said so. When an intake fills, it closes and the next one opens.
Launch places are fewer still A build team can only stand up so many enterprises at once. CTEL runs a few ventures per cycle, and CTBM graduates go first.
Prior experience can shorten it Recognition of Prior Learning is assessed individually and can move you up a rung. Assessment slots are limited each intake.

Where to start

Find your vertex.

Start at Creation. Finish at CTEL.

You already know the industry. What you likely don't own is a product, priced correctly, that you can sell without an employer behind you. CTSO gives you that — and CTBM and CTEL turn it into a business that outlasts a single season.

  1. Take the niche finder. Fifteen minutes, and you leave with a written report on the niche your experience actually supports.
  2. Certify with CTSO. One destination, chosen in week two, built on every week after.
  3. Earn through SVAN. Work live enquiries on commission while the learning is still fresh.
  4. Build with CTBM. Your own niche, vendors, unit economics and the metrics that tell you the truth.
  5. Launch with CTEL. Run a live season under supervision, and hold a credential awarded on evidence.

Bring one destination. Leave with a business.

Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. Tell us where you are on the continuum and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right people to take you further.
